Bringing Your Files Back from the Brink

When important files disappear, whether from hardware failure, accidental deletion, or corruption, DragonStone Technologies is here to help recover what matters most. Our process combines advanced diagnostics with transparent communication so you understand each step from start to finish.

Step-by-Step Recovery Process

1. Initial Consultation and Intake
You’ll describe the symptoms or situation, such as a device not being detected, deleted files, or clicking noises.
We’ll document the issue and perform an intake check to confirm the storage device type, condition, and any prior attempts at repair.

2. Diagnostic Assessment ($60–$120)
Using non-invasive software and diagnostic tools, we assess:

  • Drive health and SMART data

  • File system structure and partition integrity

  • Logical versus physical failure indicators

  • File preview possibilities

This step determines whether a Standard Recovery is possible or if the device needs specialized lab service.

3. Recovery Plan and Estimate
You’ll receive a summary of findings, an estimated recovery percentage, and a clear pricing outline.
If the device requires clean-room repair such as seized heads or platter damage, we will refer you to trusted partners or assist with manufacturer warranty claims.

4. Data Extraction and Reconstruction (~$200 + Assessment)
For logical recoveries such as corrupted partitions, accidental deletions, or operating system level failures, we perform sector-by-sector imaging and reconstruct directory structures.
Recovered files are verified, renamed, and organized into folders for easy navigation.

5. Data Return
Recovered files are transferred to:

  • A drive you provide, or

  • A new external drive purchased from us

Once the transfer is complete, your original drive remains untouched unless you authorize secure erasure or disposal.

What We Can Recover

  • Deleted photos, videos, and documents

  • Lost or formatted partitions

  • External hard drives, SSDs, USBs, and SD cards

  • Windows file systems (NTFS, FAT32, exFAT)

Important Notes

  • No recovery is ever guaranteed. Success depends on the extent of damage and whether the data has been overwritten or physically compromised.

  • Avoid using or powering the drive after data loss. Continued operation can reduce recovery chances.

  • We never access personal content beyond what is required to verify data integrity. Your privacy is always respected.
